Welcome to the Home Page of HVT
The Human Velocity Training group brings together Melbourne based athletes of varied abilities who compete at distances ranging from 800m through to the marathon. A number of qualified coaches supervise the sessions and are on hand to give advice and guidance at all times.
Our regular quality/speed training sessions are held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings commencing from the Tan track. For runners based in the bayside suburbs, an additional Thursday session is conducted at the Sandringham Athletics track in Hampton. All evening sessions commence at 6:10pm.
The group also conduct Sunday morning long runs around Melbourne. The venue and start time of these is advised to group members each week.
Saturday morning sessions are conducted at the Tan on a regular basis ,commencing at 9:30am. Check the website forum for when these are run.
HVT welcomes runners of any ability to come along and have a run. There are no fees associated with the group, although training at Sandringham does incur a $2 track usage fee for anyone who is not a member of Sandy Aths.
